Sun Server, Windows 2K, FP 2K - 11/6/2002 11:14:52
We are running a Sun Server with Windows and FP 2K on it. The server was set up before myself or our Lan Engineer was here. If we were to install all the FB extensions. Will it overide the orginal settings? and were would we go to get the updates for the extensions? Thanks

I have heard of a Sun solution that uses a Intel processor and was capable of running a Win OS - I assume that is what you are using? My only experience is with SPARC servers and Solaris OS' s. But if it' s a WIN2K advanced server OS, the FP extensions would be the same as if that OS was on a Dell or HP, etc. It would be interesting to hear someone justify that server configuration [:p]

Chris, Are you running the SunPCi IIpro card solution for running WINTEL apps on a Sun server? If so, I' d be interested to hear how it is preforming. The sysad guys here tried one and ended up switching to a Dell server - they swear the Dell is a LOT faster and a lot less hassle to set up.
