Vince Spain's DHTML Menu - 5/21/2001 23:01:00
I've tried emailing Vince but got no response. So, I'll post here and see what happens!

Vince, I'm trying to use your DHTML menu in a site created with Dreamweaver UltraDev and can't seem to get it to work. Will it work with Dreamweaver? I have both versions of your menu and I get error messages in the script only with Dreamweaver (works fine in FrontPage). Error message is " bject expected at line 18 myMenu2, do you wish to debug?" and when I 'X' out of that two or three more appear for various lines.

Are there some modifications that I have to implement to make it work with Dreamweaver? If so, can you inform me as to what they are?

Thanks in advance!

my email is webrangr@synergywebdesigns.com

Hi There,
sorry, I didn't get your email. The menu should work fine with dreamweaver, and I've heard of others successfully using it with dreamweaver. Whatever system you are using, you just have to make sure that it is not messing with the code at all. Have you got a URL up so I can have a look?

All the best

Hi Vince:

The original email I sent you was through your registered email address for the forum. Is it different than that?

I will provide you with a URL ASAP. Essentially I insert the script exactly the same way as in Front Page. But, I know in certain cases (especially with copy & pasting CGI items into FP) that the code can mysteriously get 'rewritten'.

Please provide me with your correct email address. Thanks!
