Drop-Down fill in the blank - 11/12/2002 9:09:23
Does anyone know how to setup a FORM to fill in the blanks from a SQL database using FRONTPAGE? For Example - I have a form that has 3 fields - ITEM - Color - Price -- I want ITEM to be a drop down field - (say TV) then I want Color to be a drop down field (dependant on that first drop down) - then I want the PRICE to be filled in automatically. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks in advance

To force an onchange, you need to use javascript.
Pulling that from a database adds to the complexity :)

The other method, is to select one - move to the next page, select 2 etc

I think I' ll choose door number 2 Monty (select one, move to next page...) - especially after following the link and reading:

The insides of it are one of the most complicated examples on this site

That gave me a real warm and fuzzy!

Thanks for the input!!!!

As much as I hate replying to my own reply - I did find this:

On Spiderwoman' s website - it' s exactly what I wanted - and not too much coding (just my style)
