How do I turn off the Trusted connection option - 11/12/2002 21:14:27
Hi All: I just bought a new PC. Windows XP Pro. I am still using my Office 2000 including Access 2000. Here' s the problem. When I got to Access to look at my linked tables (to SQL7) any table that I updated the link for ON MY NEW COMPUTER now has the " Use Trusted Connection" box checked and an incorrect login " grayed" out. Any table that was linked on my old computer and then transferred to my new computer and the " Use trusted connection" box UNchecked and has the proper login id. I just enter my password and go. I reset my DSN 20 times. No luck. I called my ISP, they don' t know. I did go to MSCONFIG and shut dowm my start items just prior to noticing this. I turned them back on just in case, but no luck! So my question is...how do I set this up so my " Use trusted connection" box IS NOT checked and my proper login ID shows up (like it used to on my old computer). Thanks all.
