Can' t seem to get site indexed - 11/14/2002 16:08:37
A couple of months ago I went around loads of sites and requested a link to my site.

When i search my company' s name in yahoo, google etc all of the sites that say my company' s name and have a link to my site come up but my site doesn' t seem to get indexed itself.

Is that not how link referrals work?

Hi,

That is one piece in the overall pie. If you could drop a URL I' m sure we could help out a little. Most importantly is content or what appears on the page. Then you also have to optimize your page' s title to be on subject with the content. Also the METAs still play a minor factor also being keyword and description. Don' t go overboard on the keyword META. Only use keywords that appear on that page. To figure out keywords pull them from your content on that page. Target words that appear on the page that people might search on. For help once you have a handfull of keywords try Oveture' s search tool here...

Keep in mind different pages will have different keywords don' t just blanket every page with the same keywords.

Also for instant gratification Google' s adwords are great. Start out with a few dollars and see what it gets you...
