Is the use of a display ad in your local Yellow Pages Phone Book effective in bringing in web design business? I' m in the Midwest near Chicago, and our YP is published by McLeodUSA. I don' t see too many display ads, so I' m wondering if designers have found YP ads to be ineffective.
I' m new to the web design business.
If YP ads are not effective, what are some of the most effective ways?
1) Personal Contacts?; 2) Knock of New Doors?; 3) Local Bus Mags; 4) Internet forums and Free lance databases?
