Bots not Working - 11/28/2002 10:24:14
I would be very grateful for any help to get my FrontPage 2002 and Server Extensions working properly. Installed are the following: Local PC with Windows XP Pro with IIS and FP extensions installed ISP Web space with FP Extensions FrontPage 2002 I have been using FP2002 for about six months and have created a basic site, but now need to add in forms and eventually other database elements. I’ve created a form using the wizard, but keep getting the file nortbots.htm called with the following message: FrontPage Run-Time Component Page You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly. This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed. Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page. When I check the IIS admin screen it shows the default website running, but not the one I’m working on. Do I need to do something in IIS or FP or Both??? What am I doing wrong? All I want ot do is set up a ' subscribe' box. Thanks Tony

Hey, we' re neighbours! <waving from Gidea Park> I just looked at your site and it' s lovely. I did just want to add, however, that you would be well advised to state you' re in the UK, even if you do so in your footer below the current text with a non-specific line that says Brentwood * Essex * UK It will help your search engine rankings and people often look for services near to them. There was nothing on the site that told me you' re in England; it was actually your spelling and use of the term " redundancy" instead of " layoffs" that made me go look. Just a thought :) PS -- Could you pls. positively change the weather? Ta :)

Thanks for the tips! :) Will make the suggested changes. One of my favourite sayings is " you can' t change the weather, but you can choose how to feel about!"
