Very Early design critique - 12/2/2002 16:22:00
Look at this SITE and let me know what you guys think.

I know that it is a very large page (that' s what I get for designing it on my laptop set at 1280 x 1040) I am in the process of fixing that and the links aren' t correct either, but also fixing that.

I basically want feedback of the design and layout.

Thanks
bobby

JL -

You weren' t kidding about large... at 800x rez it' s pretty good size...

The layout doesn' t look bad. I wasn' t real impressed with the link menu... seemed off kilter from one link to the next (but maybe that' s deliberate...)

Took a LONG time to load. Almost a full minute (56 seconds) on a fractal 64K line (which means I' m anywhere up to and including 64K download depending on who else here is online...)

I liked the horizontal blinds look in the background, but it seemed to get lost in all the other graphics...

Maybe some text content instead of the big " Welcome" picture of the pastor and his assistant (son?) I would downsize that and give some info on who or what is welcoming me... and into what..?

The background image (the white one...) might work well for the whole page instead of just around the content with another one in the background..?

Do you think it would look better with all of the links on the right lined up? because i did design it to look like they were not lined up...

I only see links on the left... personally I like the off-kilter look. I just didn' t know if that' s what you were going for :)

My site uses layers that are positioned off-set from each other... I got the same response... " Is it supposed to look like that?"

:)
