I have read some information about data access pages and wonder if they are easier to use with an FP website than the db support from within FP?

I don't know about easier to use, but they certainly make it easy to do some neat things.

Note: You mentioned "website" in your post. Data Access Pages only work with IE 4.0 and above. I would avoid using this technology unless you know everyone using your site will be on IE 4.0 and up.
