smcfarland -> Merchant Accounts for bad credit?? (1/11/2003 16:55:09)

Posting this, not sure if I did before or not. Does anyone know of a way to process credit cards with poor credit? Someone hacked into my account with Verisign and I had $20,867+ charged back to my account. The bank closed my account, reported it on my credit, and I can' t pay business taxes because I have no money, which is also on my credit.

I was looking at 2Checkout.com but I sell weightloss products ... the people pay me and I pay the company, so I need immediate cash at hand to pay for the products.

Thanks for suggestions.

Youch!! What a terrible thing to have to deal with. [:(][:o][:@][&o][:' (]

Check under Google for bad credit merchant accounts and you' ll find lots of leads, though I' m not sure if any will be quite what you' re looking for. The rates are bound to be much higher, and I don' t know if you' ll be able to receive payment any faster than 2checkout.

Have you found some good info in helping you resolve the problems on your credit report? I know sometimes that can take a long time to clear up, but I hope you' re able to ASAP! [:o]

The FBI opened a case, but I haven' t been able to see the agents as of yet, and they want information that I will have to dig through 4 years of boxes to get to (like my operation agreement with my bank and CyberCash, in addition to Verisign). Not possible as a single mom of three with one who is special needs. [:(]

Will check it out... going to more than likely use 2checkout then.

Starting point.... call your bank and Cybercash to ask for copies of these. They should have them on file and be able to fax and mail you copies (I' d ask for them to do both).

Granted, it' s next to impossible to reach Verisign unless some huge changes have been made, but I would try to get an original contract agreement from them also. This may not be available at all, but is worth trying for. Questions here... was it an online form or mailed in? How do they figure what contract would be valid... they probably have a clause allowing them to update the contract as they change policies so you' ll probably want the original and the current policies. I once did talk to a live and very helpful person there... there is hope! In fact, their contact page is better than the one at NetSol ever used to be.... http://www.verisign.com/corporate/about/contact/

Have strength.... you can do this! [:)]

With the FBI involved you might also talk to your local banker to see if you' d be able to get a merchant account through them. With the extenuating circumstances they may be able to make an exception for you without charging higher rates.
