Two Questons .... - 6/28/2001 18:40:00
I have two questions:
1. This is sort of a question, and sortof just to notify you of what's happeneing. I am using Spooky Login for my site (Snoq.com) and it seems to work good, but when a user clicks on a link, and that page is protected, they are taken to the login page, and have to login. I want it so they stay logged in. So once they're logged in, and they're done looking at the page, they click back and they're taken to the login page and if they click back again they're taken to the front page, where if they click a link they have to login again. But if once they log in, and they go straight back to the front page (skip the login page) then they're logged in and they don't have to login again. So my question would be: how can I keep them from A. becoming logged out, or B. keep them from seeing the login page twice so they stay logged in?

2. My second question is about the registration email. When a user registers, two emails are sent, one to the user saying they registered, and another that comes to us saying that a new user has registered. I want it so when it sends us that information it sends us ALL the information it collected. (Full name, address, username, password, ...) Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

1) The Username is cleared when arriving at the login page, so if the back button is pressed, it will clear it.
There is no real reason for doing this, other than ensuring a clear variable.

It can be changed by deleting or commenting lines 16-18 of a_login.asp (2.45)

2) Currently, I send username, email to the admin and provid a link to the users new account.
Ill see what I can do about slipping the extra fields into the next version
