Hi,

Thanks Mark for agreeing with me.

Also when I learned Oracle, they started with SQL editor, then PL/SQL then after 7 weeks they showed us the form builder and the report builder.

Try note pad first then evaluate the situation.

Good luck

Hisham

Anyway, when I took a community college course recently they recommended we use Arachnophilia. I think it has an ease-of-use edge over notepad for previewing work as you progress.

Guys, I wish I had time to teach basic html and move to the bigger and better programs, but I get two classes that are two hours each. And.... I am not teaching young kids who are going to get it quickly. I have looked at First Page and I think that is going to be my best bet.

Honestly, I am not sure I am going to have anyone in my class.

To all,

After reading about 1st page here, I downloaded a copy (2 weeks ago). I finally got a chance to install it this evening.

During the installation, my Norton AV found a virus in the following file -
sixbuttonsfromhell.izs - the NAV indicated that the file was infected with " js.trojan.windowbomb" virus.

Is this real or is it a confusion on NAV' s part? Has anyone else seen this? I also noticed that 1st page is not available for download anymore (at this time). I wonder if it is related to infection.

Thanks,
dario

I' m not sure I consider this as harmless as Evrsoft, but their information indicates it as being a " harmless kiddiescript"

Here' s a link to some information on it:

http://developers.evrsoft.com/forum/announcement.php?s=&forumid=22

The information is in the 2nd post, and links to a little more information on it.

The same thing happened to me when I downloaded and installed 1st Page in June last year, as a result of a recommendation of someone here in the forums. So it is not new!

I thought it was very strange and worrying as I got it directly from the company' s site not TUCOWS or other download site.

I think Mozilla Composer and OpenOffice are good HTML editors. You can find links to some free HTML editors at http://www.developershome.com/webBuilding/freeWebEditors.asp.
