" Too many fields defined" error - 1/23/2003 8:58:00
Hello everyone,
when updating an access database i get this message
" Too many fields defined"

Does this mean there are more fields than are mapped on the database?
or I am trying to update too many fields at once?
or something else?

The update page is updating 60 fields

Thanks Coz
Spooky

I've found a work around for this issue. My database has 180 fields. Not all 180 fields need updating from the same page. I only get an error when I try to update so I just create a custom update page for the particular page i'm updating and only contain the fields that I am updating on the custom update form. That's usually only 10 or 20 fields. All the other fields retain there value because they are missing from the update page. Seems to work for me!
