Where to advertise for Webmasters? - 1/23/2003 15:56:41
A client in Alabama is placing ads for a new Webmaster. They' ve asked me where they should advertise. Obviously they will advertise in the key area newspapers. Can any of you recommend trade journals or whatnot that may be a good place to list an advertisement for a Webmaster? I' m thinking of things beyond the big job sites like Monster.com, etc.

Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks.

local community colleges and trade schools probably have job listing boards (if they' re looking for someone " in person" )

Also they might try the local " tech" papers... there are usually one or two of them in major cities, free newspaper on tech issues.

They could also check with the local community websites... there are probably job listings there as well...

If they don' t care where the person lives (IOW, not necessarily local) then there are millions of places to post... like here! :)

I wouldn' t waste my time with trade journals. Just do the local paper because, well, you have to. But techie people do techie job searches, and that means the Internet. Monster.com and a lot of other places have searches by state.
