scrolling text box question - 2/17/2003 23:29:28
Hi Everybody,

I have a question about if I could add links and some font variation in a Front Page scrolling text box?

If I can please share the details on how?

Thanks,
Barry

Barry,

If your referring to the scrolling marquee. You can insert your hyperlinks by coding them between the <marquee></marquee> tags in HTML view. The same goes for the font variations of certain scrolling text.

Hope this helps

After trying for a few minutes I realilzed that I was not doing the marquee but the text box.

The page in question is http://www.blackalumniofmaryland.com/tls.htm

I want to simply bold University of Maryland and have it link to their home page.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Barry

Hey, Barry....

How about trying something from here:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/index.html

One of these scrolling scripts should give you a little more flexibility than what you' ve got right now.

Hope that helps

You can use a style to effect the entire contents of the text box, but afaik not the individual text.
Perhaps an Iframe is what you are after, but then you get browser compatibility problems.

Anyone expand on that? :)
