Ok <INPUT TYPE="FILE" >
using to aquire a file from a user is the easy part.

Anyone have any code using an enabler for webhosting.com here. So that I can upload the info, and possibly an example of uploading an image and storing in in an acces file?

This coding stuff is definitely not like riding a bike.

Thanks for helping an old fart!

Do your host have a component that you can use to upload files? the TYPE=File is the client sorted out, youll need the server component type for the rest , all can be different !

Hi Scalp,
going to e: drive looks ok. That is just the disk on which your web is located.
It really looks like either the script
http://www.thefurmans.com/cgi-bin/fup.cgi
is missing, has its permissions set wrong, or has been uploaded in binary mode.
As you seem to be on a windows server, the second 2 are unlikely, so really have you renamed the 2 scripts to
cgi-bin/cgi-lib.pl
and
cgi-bin/fup.cgi
as it really just looks like they are missing.

Thanks Vince,

My bad when I saved the files in my editor it changed the file name and apended the .txt to the end.

Can I say Duh?

I hope the e:\inetpub\ is refering the the e: drive on my providers drive. I was worrried that is was trying to go to my e: drive on my machine.

I'll keep plunging away with this.

Thanks,

JRF

Hi There,
sure, this is the path on your web hosts drive. Nothing to worry about there. Let us know how you get on.
