domain needed to publish to site? - 2/26/2003 16:18:55

Hi,
I have a webserver with IIS on it. I have a website working pretty good. But I can' t publish to it.
http://kodiak.no-ip.com
I get the login prompt, but I can' t log in. I' m trying to log in from outside our network.
I' ve been putting in computername/id(my network ID) and then password.
Do I have to delcare a domain??? Or maybe I have to tweak something else in IIS???
This is the first web server that I have set up with FrontPage. I' m very excited about hosting my own site.

Is the server local to you? Are you publishing from the server? or from a workstation on the same LAN? Or is it a server located in a NOC somewhere?

Are you putting in YOUR user id (assuming you have set yourself up with rights) or the computer id (as you indicated)? The login is for the user not the computer. Can you explain a bit more?

Also, if you could post some versions and status of your Service Paks. Some of the newer service paks really try to " lock-down" the server. Make sure your authentication is set-up properly....
