I posted the same questions a month ago and someone told me that my provider' s answer is false; I mean it too! Is there someone who is able to tell me what my provider has to do, in oder to " enable" FP Extensions in the subweb? I just did this to test. Linux, FP. Here' s my steps: - In the Linux control panel I create a subdomain.
- Now when I open the parent web in Frontpage , I can see a new folder with that subdomain name.
- I right click on the new folder, hit " Convert to Web"
- I can now open a web at: http://subdomain. maindomain.com using my main password.
- I can go to Tools, Security, and set up new, passworded user accounts there with the various permissions
- and last but not least, all of the FrontPage extension features work...
It is the " Convert to Web" step that enables the extensions on a subweb!
