Using more than 1 USERS tables for Spooky login - 8/20/2001 15:35:00
Hi Spooky:I think it's possible. but is it reasonalble to have more than 1 USER table for Spooky login. I have two different viewer catagories that will be utilizing the login for different areas of my site and I would prefer to have two separate tables. Along the same lines, two separate registration forms. Same reason. Or should I just install the program twice somehow? Would it be simple to use 2 registration forms, one having a hard coded access level "A" and the other Access level "B" ?Now youll have 1 table that you can query for users "a" or "b" rather than a duplication. ------------------ §þððk¥ "I am Spooky of Borg. Still not crazy about the one table idea. I can't think of any solid reason right now other than orderliness, but down the road it may become necessary.OK...so sticking with the one table idea...I know the stock registration page is fed off of the admin page. Can I modify the admin page to create two different reg pages or should I just build my own reg page feeding the users table and then hard code each A or B? By default the reg. page doesnt set an access level - the field used to differentiate the user. So, hard coding the A or B in 2 pages would be the best option methinks

So using two reg pages, are you saying to use the standad reg page that comes with program and has the fields fed into it from the admin pageAND write my own second reg page and just design my own fields that way? Or another way of saying it...the admin page settings dictates what extended fields will appear on the reg page. Can I set up the admin page so it dictates the extended fields for two different and unique reg pages? ------------------ www.Signingshotline.com lists EVERY upcoming athlete autograph appearance in the US and Canada

You mention using two separate registration pages both harded differently for different access levels. This would work, but....I want different fields on each reg page. This is dictated on the admin page, correct? One reg page is for promoters with companies and faxes, etc. and one reg page is for "regular Joes" where I don't want to confuse them with these other fields.
