wlp -> hyperlink made of fixed text and database field? (8/22/2001 14:18:00)

I am trying to send viewers of a freelancers database to the freelancers' calander at "Super Calendar".

To access the freelancers' personalized calendar the hyperlink is;

http://www.supercalendar.com/view.php?name=wlp

The WLP being the username in both the Calendar program and the freelancers database.

I have provided the viewer of the freelancer database a hyperlink;

"View Calendar"

and I would like to marry the fixed part of the necessary hyperlink being; http://www.supercalendar.com/view.php?

with the username, a field being pulled from the freelancer database which will inherently match the Calendar username.

The end result needing to be;

fixed text (http://www.supercalendar.com/view.php)

database field value
(?name=wlp)

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. I use this info all the time for hyperlinks within my site but this is a hyperlink to an external site and the external site returns an error like:

Sorry, <%=FP_FieldURL(fp_rs, is not a Valid User Name

It is not seeing or interpresting the link propoerly. Is the fact that the hyperlink is outside of a FP site require different characters than those provided using the DRW?

No, that shouldn't matter as long as your generating a URL from your site. It looks like your page is passing the ASP and not the results.

Make sure (if you're using the DRW) that your hyperlink is within the DRW code - typically somewhere near the other results fields..

Can you post the hyperlink code???

just to tell you I will post the code on the weekend as I am swamped with other things. Thanks for your help. I know it is an easy one but I can't figure it out.
