only one space allowed in text? - 2/19/2001 21:03:00
When editing normal text, that will appear in a web page, I sometimes try to make more than one space between words but front page won't let me. I want to align words in any way I'd like but can't. Can anyone tell me how to make more than one space in between words? Thanks, Shawn

I have seen that in DW but never have run into it in FP. It is probably a good thing in the long run. Keeps those non breaking spaces from taking over the page.------------------ Shirley There must be some kinda way out of here said the joker to the thief. Money Tree Systems

The good news is that you can theoretically do this using CSS by inserting this in a stlyle sheet: p { word-spacing: 30px }The bad news is that only thoses using Opera or NN6 will be able to see it - it is not supported by other versions of NN or by IE. So no can do in effect - sorry! ------------------ Katherine www.inkkdesign.com www.linkks.com -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* "Dogs have owners, cats have staff!"

You can also use a transparent gif to hold the space open. ...if you do this you may have more questions once you try it... just ask. Linda ------------------ Ruby Marketing
