yay progress but asp pages - 8/25/2001 20:03:00
Hi

1. Why don't the asp pages automatically have the navigation bar on them too? - they don't seem to be linked to the other pages
2. I gather my extensions are working as am able to view the hit counter?
3. how do you edit the site "live" ?

thank you

Spooky

1) Forgive me if Im wrong, as I dont use nav components - rename the files to .HTM, add them to your nav structure THEN rename them as .ASP From memory, thats the trick.

2)Possibly

3)Open FP > Open Web > Your http://web address > Enter username / password > viola!

Spooky is right, but their is one danger to beware of. Once you switch a page from htm to asp, you can't add any child pages below it - thats no problem - just change it back to htm while you add your pages. The problem lies if you go to rearange the child pages that already exist. I wiped out 51 pages of navigation 3 layers down when I forgot to name the top parent page to htm before working on it. Oh well no modern convenience comes without a price
