converting dreamweaver to FP - 4/4/2003 21:16:21
I posted this a few weeks ago but didn' t see any replies. A potential client had a site built by another firm that was built using the dreamweaver/cold fusion platform. I might assume responsibility for the site. I would prefer to convert it to a non-proprietary html/asp site. Some of the hyperlinks look like this <a href=" ./?PG=1&FN=1" > What' s up with this? The easy way out would be to set up a cold fusion server package and load the web as-is but cold fusion server packages seem to be very expensive and the site has only a small database app that would work jsut as well with Access/ASP. Does anyone make a filter/converter from dreamweaver-built sites? Thanks for your help. Dan The site has about 120 pages

DW to FP is a non issue. Coldfusion to Access is the issue so I am moving this to the Database forum

Don' t fear (although fear is not really the word I' m looking for) ColdFusion.....if you started to learn it you just may prefer it over ASP, like I have. I have saved A LOT of time with ColdFusion because you do not need near as much code to perform a function, compared to ASP. Just my $.02. Good Luck, MB
