VBscript on event - 9/10/2001 16:32:00
OK guys, you've helped me so much and I've looked everywhere for this with no luck. I'm sure this must just be so simple that it's not listed anywhere. I'm hoping that this isn't one of those vb-but-not-vbscript things!

I got through my CDONTS issue with the server (turns out they were running aspmail). It works great and I like being able to html format the data for the email notification. My boss also wants me to set up an image (or button) that when clicked will send this same type of email with data from the DRW table.

How do you set an onclick event to run a vbscript? I know you can do this with jscript, but I prefer to avoid jscript as much as possible. I need for a user to be able to click a button and an email with the formatted data be sent.

Thanks for all your help!

On_Click implies you want to do it from the client.
You dont

The process is something like this :

Get the information from the database.

Show the user.

Duplicate the information in a form, all contained in hidden inputs.

Submit this form to page 2

Page 2 then uses ASP to request the values from page 1 and send them via asp.
