Followed your advice Gail. So how does
http://www.londonmove.co.uk/
look now (it was all white before)
Does it look too amateurish? or does it come across as simple and efficient, (or crap)
Rip in please...

It looked like night, and now it' s day!

Congratulations, walrus! You' ve done an amazing job at improving the look over the original! I do have a few more suggestions:

I still think the watermark could be lighter, even as much as 30-40% lighter.

That long, long list of cities, or estate names, or whatever they are, well, it' s L O N G! Consider putting all the names in a separate table so the list will extend the whole length of the page, not just the center table or cell. It will look better and the page will be, er, less long. :) I think this is particularly important for the home page.

Some of your pages extend too much, imho, beyond the screen, so one must scroll to see all the page content. I am on precarious grounds giving others coding advice so I suggest you post a question in another forum and get further help for that issue.

Well, if you want to know my honest opinion, even with the changes for the long list, I still think it is too much. Plus the list is on more than one page. [:' (]

Ask yourself what purpose it serves, and if the info really must be presented in that manner. Can' t you just put a little statement, centered in the footer area, which reads something like this?

Click here to see the locations we serve

Make it a link which will take you to another page which contains the list. Or let the list open in a new, fixed-size window with a " close" button. Or something like this.

And the color of the locations text, at least on my monitor, is sorta yucky and has no relation to any other color in the site. A gray would work, maybe Hex={66,66,66} or Hex={80,80,80}.

I think the biggest criticism of the website is it' s not immediately apparent what the website' s purpose is. One thing I' ve found, from my website, and surfing of my own. The website only has a few seconds to tell people what it does, and most people will immediately leave if that' s not noticable. I think in this case, a picture of a home would help out big time. Also maybe a logo for London Move. Also, I think having the navigation at the top part of the page, and then moving the login to the left side of the page would be easier to navigate. That' s just a personal preference though.

Im having a little trouble working out the shared borders, which is why it has jumped onto other pages.
Funny thing when you change a web design.

The previous version was exactly this. So much for progress:)
Thanks guys.
