flash, swish, loadtimes - 5/1/2003 13:37:06
Hi everybody,

What do you think of:

A) the flash on the entrance page
B) the buttons and swish thing on the second page

The client has not seen this yet, but if you folks don' t like it then thats all that matters:)

Gil, - YUHYIKBTCLIAIPC:):):):)

Translated- yeah, uh huh, yes, I know, but the client likes it and its preety cool:):):):)

I spelled siminar wrong on the second page flash thing, (my 6 year old pointed this out to me):)

I like the layout, I like the colors, but oh my goodness those dancing buttons could get very annoying very fast!

Perhaps if they didn' t loop? Just one little jiggle then stillness?

The Swiah on the intro page is very nice, though a little jumpy in parts and the jaggerd white lines around many of the images does detract from it - it really would be worth cleaning up those images some.

It' s a great start though - it looks really good!

Thanks Katherine,

I know the intro swish and pics are a bit ragged and it falls apart at the end, but I wanted to know if this was a road to pursue before I started the detail work.

In the past, I have gone miles into a project only to find that something does not work in the starting structure, or my OF family hates it[:' (]

I learned a new term " being judicious with my time" :)

I will make the buttons sit down, hehe :)

But I was just getting hypnotized by the flashing/moving words.. overview, sponsorship..:)

I am glad you are getting rid of them - I am not sure I could stay on a site with navigation moving.:):)

Overall flash looked good.

Whew, that' s good. I' d hate to end up on page 2 after a couple of tipples.:) On the whole it looks pretty good - see previous comments however:).

Pssst, I think your banner should be Youth Explosion not " Youth Expolsion" ????:)[:p]

The temptation to get " Flashy" is almost overwhelming, isn' t it?

It' s just plain fun to do things " because you can." [:p]

But, my take on this is that if your site is going to have mostly once-only visitors, then flash away. If you expect a lot of return visitors, then it (flash)gets annoying quickly. If the site is being done to please a client, then you have a whole different set of issues.

I' ve whittled down all my flash stuff to just one little thing in my index page title. I probably should take that out too, but I just think it is too cool to drop.

It would be nice if the button danced with the ' mouse over event only.
