Hover Button - 4/26/2001 20:07:00
Hi guys..
i have a question regarding hover buttons in Front page 98.
Whenever i create a hover button, and customize its look by using a .gif picture, i can not see it in the preview or browser...thought it is saved.!! instead, i see a gray icon with nothing , no words and nothing else..
Any advice?????
Thanks a lot for your help..

Yea,....

My first bit of advice is NOT to use the FP hover buttons. They are unpredictable at best, and they cause browser crashes at their worst.

You'd be much, much better off with some scripting for that function.

Just my 2 cents.....

Cecil

Cecil is right - just say "NO!" to hover buttons.

As an alternative try here for the Mightly Mouseover Machine whcih will make the JavaScript for a set of buttons that change on mouseover: http://www.builder.com/Programming/Kahn/012898/

If you have not used JavaScript before there is a good tutorial here which explains how to insert it into an FP page:
