Publishing with " Edit with Frontpage" - 5/6/2003 6:11:03
As a Newbie, please forgive me if this has cropped up before. My problem is that in recent times, I have always updated my website (www.stylediskwarehouse.com) by using the “Edit with Microsoft Frontpage” option from the FILE menu, as the “Publish Web” command has usually left my online site like a broken up jigsaw puzzle. In the past few days though, this option has not been available to me. Here’s what happens: When I’m online and my site has opened up in the browser, I go to the FILE menu and click on “Edit with Microsoft Frontpage”. . It should prompt me here to type in my User Name and Password for entering my host’s services but for some reason this no longer appears. The same page then opens up in Frontpage minus the navigation bars, and when I make any changes and go to SAVE, the SAVE AS window opens with my hard drive copy of my website selected in the SAVE IN window. When I try to change this to my URL to save to the actual online website, I get the following error message: “The current operation cannot be completed because an unexpected error has occurred. For details see C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\wecerr.txt”. When I find this on my PC the text reads… “Cannot open " we80.cnf" : no such file or folder.” Can anyone help please? I am using Frontpage 2000.
