Hello... Brand new here! - 4/26/2001 16:56:00
Hi People, I'm aged 40 with 12 months internet "Play" on computers(mainly football chatrooms) I have started a couple of webpages (online) freeservers etc and even thrown together a basic site for a friend.

Very poor! but all good experience eh?...

I have just been given (This Evening) frontpage 98 by my Son aged 23. He knows how excited I am by the web and it's potential... My problem is: I am completely dumfounded at where to begin!
He has loaded it for me and I have managed to put a title on "My Homepage" that's all.

Any, Yes Any, information, advice or Tutorial direction would be greatly appreciated by this beginner.

Please treat me as a 5 year old! As that is how I feel at the moment!... D'oh

Many Thanks in Advance... The Goldman

Hi m8.
I am 16 myself, started using the web just 8 months ago, and Frontpage (FP 2000) 6 months ago.

I suggest you just experiment a lot. Be creative! Firstly, found out something you want to concentrate your website on. Like i.e. football! Try experimenting with colors, backgrounds, fonts, navigation systems, logos and so on.

Basically, be very creative!

Learning how to use FP(FrontPage) is very easy indeed. Get familiar with the toolbars and all of the possibilities with the different components, frames, tables.

Again, experiment a lot. If you ever need help to anything, we are here for you!

BTW! I have been using FP for 6 months, and at the moment I am working with this site:

Feel free to be inspired!

The key is, yet again, to be creative!

There is a wealth of information in these pages. I would recommend spending some time reading past posts. Also check out the tips section, a bunch of good info in a short space. A finally don't be too shy to come in and ask. If you want to learn web development using FrontPage, there is no other place to be.
Good Luck
Dave

And as Dave points out, feel free to ask us ANYTHING regarding FrontPage.

Hi,

I have to complain about this lowering of the tone in Outfront THFC, MCFC ???!!! Unless it's ITFC, football shouldn't be mentioned on a FrontPage forum

Cheers
Andy
