Im biased, but someone else may chime in too 
The server should be sufficient. Most NT servers provide the minimum support as required.
I have only seen one NT5 server that didnt (for some extremely odd reason)
Check that your server is IIS and not web site pro (FP > tools > web settings)
Mostly the information you will get is the readme you see online. I am writting other tutorials as I get asked, and they are online.
It can be as simple as importing the files (via frontpage) and opening the login page on your website.
The only extra work required is to add the asp protection code to each asp page.
An asp page is simply an .htm page with a different file extension.
One thing to note, is some frontpage form components dont work well as asp pages.
Others have workarounds.
