I was checking my site stats and for some reason I was having a lot of hits on one of my pages.

http://www.webdesigncarolina.com/freedesign.html

So I had a look to see why I was getting all these hits. They were comming from MSN.

Low and behold, I was number 1 in their listings for the term free web design.

I don' t really expect to be there for long and I got the postion by fluke, but it was unexpected and brightened up my day.

So to prove I actually made it to number 1 here is a pic

You are #1 in the Web Directory category... which is a paid inclusion. You are competing with the other sites who paid to be included for keywords. Still, it is a nice accomplishment because you can' t buy #1 - it is assigned according to your design. I get a lot of traffic for various sites through this service (LookSmart).
