FrontPage Server Error msg: Port 80 - 5/13/2003 5:30:46

I receive the following error message when I try to add new users to our intranet site, although users are still given access:

Could not find a web server at ' zuk29fil06.euro.css.mot.com' on port 80. Please check to make sure that the web server name is valid and your proxy settings are set correctly. If you are sure that everything is correct, the web server may be temporarily out of service.

Also, a ' form' page is coming up as unavailable - is this due to the above-mentioned issue?

Please advise what we should do to resolve this. Yesterday our IT team did a reboot of the server and now I can' t access our site thru frontpage as I' m being prompted for a userid and password.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Were any network or firewall changes made recently? Your symptoms sound like some kind of permissions/blocked traffic issue.

Hi Doug G / caywind,

Thanks for your response, I hv forward this on to our IT team. For now I have access to the site and can publish etc, everything appears to work fine with the exception of the asp ' forms' page. When I try and access these I receive the following error msg:

HTTP Error 403
403.1 Forbidden: Execute Access Forbidden
This error can be cause if you try to execute a GI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed. Please contact the Web server' s administrator if the problem persists.

Again any advice you can give to help resolve this issues will be v. much appreciated.

Premissions are wrong on the server - .asp pages require " Execute"
