" Refer a friend" e-mail form - 5/25/2003 12:23:50
I have a client who would like a form on the bottom of his site that the user could fill in a friend' s e-mail address and have that webpage forwarded to that person. I have no idea how to do this. Can some one point me in the right direction?

You cannot easily forward the webpage - you can forward a link to it though. There are loads of scripts that will do this, which sort to use depends on the server type your site is on. If you are on Unix/linux, then PHP is a good bet, if Windows, ASP. You will find loads of scripts here: http://www.hotscripts.com - look under ' Site Recommendation' in the script category of your choice. If you have not used an off the shelf script before, don' t panic! Mast come with very clear instructions are are easy to install.

You may want to take a look at this page for the TellAFriend script that you can use to have an email sent to a friend with the link to the page you wish to have referred to.
