Big Problems - 5/30/2003 12:48:18
i am currently the webmaster of my college website and under me there are many assocaite webmasters. one of them is in charge of my library site. i have full acces to every page on every sub web but this webmaster only has access to the library sub web. She can post to our internal test site and our actual site.

she has had problems in the past that does not allow her to add or import ASP files.

Is this because of of security settings on my server? or what. any help would be great thanks

Could be the subweb is not set up to run ASP. What kind of server? If IIS, I know each time I create a new web/subweb, I have to edit its properties through IIS to get ASP to work.

The sub web is currently using ASP files but it is not letting us import or save files as asp.

How do you transfer files, and with what program?

An asp file is just anohter file - Im struggling to see how your publish method can restrict file types.

Can you expand or post pictures of the error dialogue?

I' m not understanding why it isn' t either. the sub web supports asp files but doesn' t allow them to be saved as asp or have asp imported. it is only on the one sub web, no where else is having the problem. also it is only the library person that can' t do this. I can do it from my machine but she is unable to do it from hers.

the only other thing that i can think of is that she might need to reinstall FP
