For a Windows OS Server DELL..... DELL..... DELL

As far as using FTP and FP Extensions without corrupting the extensions - Never FTP a file ()page) that uses the extensions and you' ll not have a problem.

But i would like to ftp and publish at the same time! You can do this when with everplanet .com there server is set up to do both at the same time, i guess its a software program OR an event handler for extension crashing... I not sure does any one know how one handles this?

Thanks for the dell, i see they have a quadrouple your memory sale on servers right now :):)

I' m not sure what you mean by " at the same time" ? I have seen 50 - 100 connections at the same time - but if you ftp a page that has a FP bot it WILL corrupt the extensions. It has nothing to do with ' a software program OR an event handler for extension crashing' , any server can handle multiple connections.

I don' t know why it is hard to believe that someone has solved the ftp / FP server extension crashing on a Windows server.

Gil, Go to everplanet.com>>support>>live help>> and ask them with their hosting service, can one ftp and publish (via frontpage) at the same time without the extensions crashing>>they will say yes>>i, J-man, have personally witnessed / done this.

NOW, backing up... does anyone know anything on how to configure a Windows server to accept ftp and FP publish without the FP extensions crashing?

any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Just curious - How do you click the ' send' (in the FTP client) & " Publish" (in Frontpage) at the same time?

not at the exact same time to the very 1,000,000 th of a second, silly, but while the publish is publishing (world spinning) drag and drop another file into ftp browser window.

I know you can' t ftp and hope the extensions will work for your db coneection or Bot form.

You' ve been there done that... does that mean by default one can publish, then ftp, then publish again, and the extensions won' t currupt, on a windows server, to the same hosting space, on the same day, seconds apart, on the same month, in the same year, while wearing the same underwear?

By default - one can Publish - FTP - Publish - FTP to a server (WIN, Unix, Linux), to the same directory, as many times per day as needed without corruption - AS LONG AS NO FILES THAT USE THE EXTENSIONS ARE FTP' D! Underwear optional.
