what i am doing is trying to learn asp by building a web site for my fantasy football league. right now i have one form where people can type in all there players and subit that, so everyone can read eachothers lineups for that week on a seperate page. both were done using FP2000 DRW. now i am trying to build a seperate page where people can change there lineups if they had made a mistake typing them in the first time of just change it the next week. Sometimes it is necessary to leave a field blank but then you get a error saying you can not have a zero length string. that is what i am trying to get around.

thanks for the help
Brian

Brianw

That error comes from the access database itself. If you go into design view of your table in access, you can change that option for that field. Look at the general tab and change "allow zero length" to yes from no.
