Keyword search vs drop down box - 10/25/2001 13:52:00
I think I know the answer, but wanted to check anyway. If I do a keyword search (using ASP & Access) will it return results slower than if I did a drop down box. Basically I will either use the keyword search to search one memo field or I would search several text fields with 3/4 drop down box options.thanks, Gail

I don't have much time to go into the details, but the short answer is they should be the same or so close to the same that it would make no difference.Fields can be indexed to increase performance and also stored queries could be used. Joe Much depends on what is in your DB and what your doing with it. I like memo fields myself... [This message has been edited by jbennett (edited 10-25-2001).]
