Dr. B -> Using results to populate a second search form (10/27/2001 20:56:00)

Start with a map of the States. Each state is a hyperlink that searches a database for the correct state abbreviation. Currenty, results of the search are displayed in the database results region of a the search form. I want the results of the hyperlink search to populate a text box on a second search form used to query a different database. I have no idea how to set this up. Please help! Thanks

I take it you use a URL to pass the querystring? if so, try this.

Page 1

url.asp?State=LA

Page 2

<input type=text value=<%=request.querystring("state")%>>

This will give you a text box with the value "LA" already filled in.
