Front Page Permissions Problem - 6/26/2003 17:05:47
Does FrontPage have some sort of program that will block some editors from making changes? I have acces to this one file and folder and I can make chages but the person that needs to make the chages can' t. On our NTFS server both our permissions are exactly the same. What would cause her to be unable to make changes?

Have you also verified that author permission to the web folder are there?

Is that the same as saying that the folder has change permission?

She can go in and change some of the files in her subweb, but she can' t save them. She can save other files in the same folder.

Nope, it is an explicit permission.

Permissions, (who can author what) are administered via FrontPage, not NT.

Things might have changed in the last two years. On nt4 advanced when setting up new Intranets I would go into usrmgr for nt4 and assign author permissions from there. Just always did it that way, maybe it was 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of another.
