FrontPage Display Problem With CSS - 6/27/2003 13:31:13
Help When I open a FrontPage (2000) Web Page developed with CSS and try to view it in " Page View" I am having a problem. If I click on the " Normal" tab, all single-spaced multi-line text is displayed as overwritten onto one single " line" The same page displays correctly with the " Preview" tab and looks correct when viewed with the " HTML" tab. I tried entering data onto a single line in " Normal" tab view. When it got to the end of the line, the text wrapped on top of itself rather that onto the next line. I did the same thing in " HTML" tab view and it entered correctly but when I tried to see it in " Normal" tab view the overlapping was there. A paragraph of text becomes a totally black rectangle comprised of " overtyped" characters. Any one have any ideas about what is wrong? Thanks in advance. RonH

Hmmm, it almost sounds like you are using inline styles and they are conflicting with external styles. Have you tried running your page through an HTML validator? How about the style sheet? Have you validated that? How about a link to the problem page so we can see?

RonH, Using CSS with FrontPage, my experience in page view is that in the design segment the CSS lines up OK, but in the Preview segment it does not work. I agree with Bobby, it views OK in the Browser. Tippie
