css book - 7/1/2003 7:57:16
Has anyone read this HTML Utopia: Designing Without Tables Using CSS shown here ?

It looks like it has a lot information that has been discussed here.

Erin;
I believe that spooky had read this one. Might want to check with him on it as I don' t think that he was thrilled with it.

I remember that book - I got sent a review copy of it. I was completely unimpressed, in my opinion it was badly written, I passed it on to somebody else with instructions to chuck it if they didn' t want it. So they gave it to a charity sale.

Surprising really, his other stuff is excellent.

Temporarily railroaded into being the spokesgorilla because all the other spokesgorillas are up to their furry brows in work, <snarl>as if I wasn' t</snarl> they' ll be back soon. Or at least they had better be back soon or they will face the wrath of the alpha female matriarch wielding her awesome rolling pin ...... ahhhhhhhh .... I feel so much better now ...... Three' s something about even the mere thought of terrifying the alpha males of the tribe that is guaranteed to make me smile.

PS: I' m not a bad gorilla (really!!)

Not impressed really - perhaps I was expecting more on the actual topic.
Sure it was loosely about positioning, but I felt it was a couple of chapters at best. Nearly a 3rd of the book is a CSS reference, so it makes the value for money pretty poor imho
Stick with Eric Meyer and online tutorials as mentioned in this forum.

I have heard from another forum that I am on that the above book is really a good one. I' m seriously considering ordering this one. I have to decide quickly as it is a difficult one to find.

If you havent already, get the downloadable pdf of the first book - it gives an over view of what to expect.
