HTML TIP - 7/2/2000 22:11:00
With the way we all like a 'clean' html code, thought a number of you would like this tip I ran across at: http://www.builder.com/Authoring/FrontPage2000/ss02.html Teach FrontPage to Format Your Code You can tell FrontPage how you like your code, and it will format it automatically. By providing a sample file, you can specify if you'd like your code indented, your tags capitalized, and so on. Open a sample page that contains code formatted the way you prefer (the more tags in your sample page, the better). Then select Tools/Page Options and click the HTML Source tab. Click the Base On Current Page button, and FrontPage will set its formatting rules accordingly. Then select the Reformat Using The Rules Below option, and every page you load and save will be formatted like the sample file.

Dan, does FP still leave your code alone? I have been afraid to try that, thinking FP would start acting like FP98 and messing everything up.------------------ Gil Harvey "Cleverly Disguised As A Responsible Adult ..." OutFront Commerce & Consulting. Subscribe to OutFront News

Gil,Actually just ran across the article and the fact that I can template my code. When I get the time I'm going to write down the original settings, change the settings and create a new page. Do some coding and pasting from another site and see how it stays/changes. Meanwhile, if anyone else has tried it they can let us know. :-) DanO
