TipsterMan -> E-mail form results (7/28/2003 5:52:11)

I have set up Frontpage to e-mail form results to my personal e-mail address.
My ISP has the latest extensions installed and have told me it should work, but it doesn' t. It used to work but for some reason it doesn' t any more. I only use a standard form handler, ie with no additional scripting etc.

Any ideas, thanks in advance

TipsterMan -> RE: E-mail form results (7/28/2003 6:04:28)

Just found a couple of similar problems posted elsewhere, but neither helped.

To confirm, I do get the ' disk based web' message and do select ' no' . It' s alls et up exactly as it used to be when it worked, so I can' t understand why it doesn' t anymore???

Any solutions?

Hmmm, I think a bigger problem might be :
This page uses frames, but your browser doesn' t support them

TipsterMan -> RE: E-mail form results (7/28/2003 7:57:27)

Did you have trouble viewing the site? First I' ve heard of that problem??

All I get is: This page uses frames, but your browser doesn' t support them

TipsterMan -> RE: E-mail form results (7/28/2003 8:44:43)

Hmm, what browser do you use? I' ve tested it with IE and Netscape with no problems, although admittedly they are the latest versions.

Opera 6.11 / Linux w/ frame support turned off

Universal4 -> RE: E-mail form results (7/28/2003 16:48:26)

what page is the form on?

TipsterMan -> RE: E-mail form results (7/28/2003 19:27:11)

It' s on the ' join' page

wattle -> RE: E-mail form results (7/28/2003 19:32:01)

Hi, I just filled out the form on the join page - from this end it seemed okay. Are you getting error messages, or not getting the emails? I did not look at the code.

TipsterMan -> RE: E-mail form results (7/28/2003 19:36:52)

I have set the form up to send the results to both a file and e-mail address. The actual form works fine in that it sends the data to the correct file etc. It just doesn' t e-mail me the results. It used to e-mail me but for some reason it doesn' t anymore.

Gil, why wouldn' t you just tell him you wouldn' t recommend using frames and that you' ve turned them off on your browser instead of making him think he' s got a problem with his website? Jeez man...

He DOES have a problem with his site!

I was attempting to nudge TipsterMan towards the solution on his own. Sorry Tipster, it' s the instructor in me that believes finding the solution on ones own is 100 times more effective than it presented to you.

Again, sorry TipsterMan

Of course the REQUIRED <noframes> content would have made this whole thread not happen [:)]

AMysticWeb -> RE: E-mail form results (7/29/2003 16:33:15)

TipsterMan,

I posted your form here and just did a test submit.

The form worked fine, but I am curious if you received the email...??

TipsterMan -> RE: E-mail form results (7/29/2003 17:09:30)

I tried changing the e-mail address to one of my other ones and it worked. Now I' m even more puzzled, but I suppose I should be happy I found a solution[:)]

Thanks everyone for your replies.[sm=idea.gif]
