Morning Barry,

I like the page you link us to. Very clean, direct and to the point in announcing an upcoming event. However, I can not get back to that page from anywhere on the site. " When were those dates again?" No way to get back there. So it really wasn' t a home page because ' home' takes me elsewhere. Very confusing.

The " folks" in the church - I would find a way to smooth their edges. Looks like a resolution issue.

I am running IE6, 1024 resolution. When I go to this page, http://www.bacea.org/Home.htm, the courses are listed on the right. But, they are below the ' fold,' and fade, one by one. More importantly, the link for the total listing needs to come up to the top, above the fold. I wouldn' t want to sit there and wait for each course to fade in and out.

On one page, you use the old variant spelling ' stedfast.' You sure you want to hang onto the old spelling? Must be KJV.

The ' about us' link is dead. You haven' t customized a 404 page.

The links above the banner of the kids are too easily missed. They are buried. I only found them by trying to click on the children' s picture logo, thinking that would get me home. (I thought it would - might consider using it as a link). Only then did I see those small, buried links.

I liked the banner logo with the variety of races. On the home page, or whatever you call the link you provided us, as a designer, I would seek out a picture of one African American child to use for you rollover links. My guess is that you are an integrated organization and that first page makes a statement with the omission of any black youth, unintentionally I am sure. And I am not being " politically correct." I believe it is critical, particularly as it relates to Christian beliefs.

Those are some honest reactions. If anything I have stated is helpful, great. If not, others will have good ideas. Good luck on the site and the November conference.

I do not understand the fold and fade you are referring to.

Dave, With date sensitive sites I like intro pages with all of the most important stuff listed. Once through, all of the information is in the site with much more detail. I will put the date in more obvious place in the site body:)

Thanks
Barry

Sorry if I was unclear. Here is the page to which I am referring Barry.

http://www.bacea.org/Home.htm

You list the workshops on the right, in the What' s New Area. On my screen, all those workshops appear below the ' fold;' meaning, I have to scroll down to see them. Then, the titles of the workshops fade in and out, being replaced by the next workshop. If I want to see all the course, I have to scroll down further, getting the link that lists all of them.

When I open a screen, everything I see is called ' above the fold.' The comparison is made to a newspaper. Everything important is ' above the fold.' On your site, you have empty space ' above the fold,' and force me to scroll down to see the workshops. Don' t think you want to do that.

I would make that whole left column where you have ' who should attend....through search.....a silver background. That will help with the inverted " L" appearance and help you visuallly.

I use it on mine. You are welcome to look at it and decide if it would help ' balance' your site graphically.

Dave

Aww, I miss the butterflys. :)

I have to agree with the comments about the " folks" inside the church, I think you need to smooth them out a bit and deepen the color. They remind me of the early video game images.

Just my opinion for what it' s worth.

Nice job as usual Barry.
