I upgraded to WinMe from WinSE a couple of months ago. I use FP2000 & PWS. I have had no trouble using PWS. PWS & FP2000 were on the hard drive when we upgraded to WinME. I'm not real techinical so I can't tell you why this works. HTH, Meo

Meo, I did some more research, actually talking with some other folks, and they agreed with you. You can set the pws up in a test situation on windows me. It is strongly recommended however, if you are going to use the pws as a server for hosting to the world wide web that you then choose the windows 2000 operating system.Judy

PWS is a testing tool - You can't really use it to host a site anyway. And PWs doesn't run on Win2000 - Win2000 comes with IIS5------------------ Gil Harvey The Host Factory

Gil, I think I'm confused on this issue. Since I'm running a web site that I need to test regularly on the pws, Would you recommend the windows me or windows 98 second edition operating system? I can't get a straight answer from Gateway help support and after reading the article from Microsoft support I read it as windows me would have configuration problems with the pws. What are your suggestions? Judy

Judy - Kind put me on the spot, huh? OK, in order:
- Win2000 Professional w/IIS5
- WinME w/PWS
- Win98SE w/PWS
#1 would cost more, but is much more functional. #2 I know what MS says, but I know a lot of people running that combination without problems #3 Hey - it works Good Luck...
