CSS Positioning - 7/29/2003 11:22:37
I have used Style Sheets before for Fonts, Links, and Horizontal Rules.
They work fine.

But I do not understand using CSS for page Positioning.

I have a WEB Site for the Yorkville Historical Society.
http://www.yorkvillehs.org/

The YHS prints a Quarterly Newsletter and mails it to the membership.
I then take the .DOC and put into HTML on the Newsletter Archive page.
http://www.yorkvillehs.org/newsletter_archives.htm

I simply create a table 100% wide and place each article in a cell one under the other.
How would CSS be easier than using a Table.

Simple: it isn' t

If tables are working for you, don' t sweat it. CSS is very powerful and flexible, but not nearly as simple as using a table.

Table support isn' t going anywhere... so don' t panic :)

Is CSS worth learning? Yes
Do you have to replace all your tables with layers? No
Even after you learn to position with CSS, will you still use tables? No doubt

Which should you use? CSS or Table?
That' s like asking " Should I use Dreamweaver or Front Page?"

It' s really up to you, which you prefer and are comfortable with, etc.

Thanks, it reminded me of what I look like whenever I tear open one of my babies.
