SEO Software - 8/10/2003 21:59:18
Over the years, I have had moderate to excellent success in getting my client' s websites listed on the first two pages or major search engines... though it often takes a lot of work. But, every so often, like this morning, I got spammed by a company making many guarantees that were just stupid... junk stuff. Saying that, I have also received email from Web Position Gold and a few others (Search Engine Command?) that SEEM like they may have value. Has anybody used any of these SEO programs? Do they have value or is it all just hype? Some are quite pricey... and though I have no problem paying for something that helps me to work more efficiently, I obviously don' t want to waste money. I also realize that, although this Forum is designed for us to help one another, SEO secrets might not be discussed here simply because we may end up helping the enemy ;) In any case.... Anybody have any opinions on these programs? Thoughts? Love? Hate? An Epiphany? Tim

I never submit with software, always by hand. Have made some use of WPG software for keyword density and other analysis. Also periodically use it for reporting, BUT NEVER with Google who prohibits use of this type of thing. AlltheWeb has gone the same route... Increasingly all my checking is done by hand.
