Well, The site I am currently working on (REDOING) is frame heavy, personally i dont like frames but would like some input or pointers so that i may attack this site hard and heavy.

www.jacuzzibros.com choose the pool and spa equipment.

thanks for the critiques...

Hi,

First thing I'd do is change the Splash page - it took an age to appear and I would have left if it wasn't for the critique.

The applet in your top frame is apt for the site but it looks cut off at a resolution of 1024 pixels - I'd trash it personally.

Most of the other pages were under construction.

Best of luck with it.

Cheers
Andy

On the pop-up...although I'm bare when I'm in my Jacuzzi, I think you mean "bear."

I agree with Andy on the splash page. Although it looks really nice, and I love the graphics, it takes forever-and-an-age to load, it's not really clear that clicking on different parts will take you to different pages, and search engines will be looking for text.

I'm sure you want this perfect. Because of that, I would re-work the graphic on the first Pool page. There's a pretty clear line where it's sliced at the top, where the frame used to be.

Also, I assume you will be putting text where the word-graphic is? Otherwise, those surfing with graphics off,sight-disabled people, and search engines will be out of luck.

A note on grammar on the second Pool page...punctuation goes inside the quotation marks.

Good luck with it.

how bout now on that first pool page? I went ahead and purchased FireWorks and developed this look. On the text.. what is the best way to do this.. i like using the graphic way because it really looks nice.

Hi - do you mean this page http://www.jacuzzibros.com/loop/pool_main.htm - the water looks good to me but not sure it goes well with the left hand stripes.

Cheers

The graphic is better. I like it.

However, you need text for the reasons I mentioned. Also, as a graphic, it is a little blurry, has over-compression marks, and adds unnecessarily to load time. What specifically do you like about the appearance? Maybe there's a way to get what you want and have it in text-form, too.

Oh, yeah...watch out for side-to-side scroll. Keep in mind, most people (but not all) use 800x600 resolution.
