Constructive critisism please - 2/17/2001 20:37:00
I would really like a review of my website http://www.terminator.co.uk
It is my first proper website (for my company) and I have muddled through to get it where it is now.
Any suggestion oon how to improve it would be welcome.
Thanks

Carl

Hi Carl,

The site looks like it could be a winner - a couple of things really struck me. It seems that all the text and images go right up to the edge of the main table, I think everything needs spacing out a bit more. Try playing around with cellspacing / cellpadding on your table to get the right effect / alignment. (Remember to check the results in Netscape)

The "Amazon Style" tabs look fine but it would be nice to have the page where you're at highlighted by a change in colour (like the home option). At the moment you have it set up as an image map - I'd split the images into individual graphics and make a second, blue copy of each one.

The top graphics on the pages are bit blurry - I'd try to find better quality "Which" and "Shop safe" graphics and maybe redo the Terminator logo.

Last point is the navigation - once inside the shop, the links at the top are fine but at the bottom, I'd put text links to your other site pages and get rid of the options of "Next" and "Back".

That's all for now - I think the main thing is to sort out the spacing of text and graphics in the table.

Best of luck with the site - hope it goes well for you.

Cheers
Andy
