Need some help with these permission things - 8/21/2003 7:51:44
Hi all, Ok I have FP XP, IIS 5 and FP Server Extensions 5. I am having trouble setting the permissions to the site, with the root directory and subwebs I have set the allowed user in the permissions page, I just added the Administartors group. With the subwebs I turned off public access from within the server extensions pages and with a number of folders I have set public access off from within IIS but leaving NT Validation on. The problem is that even with the Administartors groups being the only registered user to access the sections of site that are passworded all the other users that are registered on my system but not in the server extension can access the page as well. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks for you time Jon

does the IUSR account exist? Microsoft has the answer at the Techweb site. search for IUSR. should get you started....

Yeah the account exist and all after having a look at MS website it seems that the webserver files need to be stored on an NTFS partition, could this be a cause of the problem
